NYC

I grew up on a farm in Virginia, spent most of my corporate career in Scottsdale, Arizona and now I’m in my third year of living in New York City. So how did I end up in NYC? I blame it on my grandmother.

When I was about 8 years old, I traveled with her one time to New York. She was a buyer for yarns at a department store in downtown Roanoke, where I grew up in Virginia. We traveled by bus and as dusk approached, she was eager for me to see the lights as we got closer to the city. As I peered out the big window of the Greyhound bus, I was mesmorized by the vastness of the city lights. I’d never seen anything so beautiful. The lights seemed so full of life as they twinkled in the distance. At that very moment, I fell in love.

Over the course of my corporate career, I was fortunate to be able to visit and play in the city. I knew one day I wanted to spend time there, to live in NYC. My number one “bucket list” item.

Dream come true…

I hope you enjoy my photographs while I continue to discover this incredible city!
