Curled up and looking for a good novel to read?

A relationship between a drug-addled pornographer who has been severely burned, and a beautiful former nun who believes their romance began 700 years ago. The Gargoyle, the product of seven years’ worth of research and composition, is Andrew Davidson’s first novel. I like how he told the story in the present and within it wove in past-tense stories from the supporting character, Marianne. If you can make it through the first fifty pages or so of his daily experiences in the burn unit, trust me you will not want to put it down. I didn’t want the book to end as I will truly miss Marianne’s tales of the past. It reinforced my belief in the everlastingness of the soul.
