amour

He came into my life in my early twenties and quickly dominated my life. We went everywhere together and then slowly, ever so slowly… I just didn’t have time for him anymore. Work got in the way…

Then he showed up again some fifteen years later. I played with him for a while, then slowly pushed him aside and gave him the cold shoulder. Once again, work got in the way…

He showed up again when I moved to NYC and has consumed my life since. He keeps me up late at night, yet he’s ready to play first thing the next morning. I just can’t get enough of him. I’m consumed. I’m addicted. Perhaps you’ve even noticed.

As we enter the new year, I think it’s time to go public. To tell everyone. To share with everyone that I want this relationship and I want it to work. I’m willing to accept the struggles and learn from my mistakes. I’ll work at being open for change and be willing to give and take. We’ll work as a team and share our successes as well as our failures. And more importantly, I’ll make quality time for him.

My camera, my love affair with photography. My intention for the new year.

To be continued…

i am sure you know i was joking … once folks are bitten by the photography bug, the interest rarely goes away …. here’s a great story about a street photographer that was discovered after her death … demonstrates self satisfaction with the hobby and a love of the art … with little or no known interest in notoriety or recognition. http://www.good.is/post/people-are-awesome-amazing-unknown-chicago-street-photographer-s-work-discovered
