a firewood outing in the desert

Ready to cozy up in an adirondack at the backyard fireplace with a glass of meritage?  We’re entering another fabulous time of year here in the Sonoran desert to enjoy a roaring fire with our 70 degree days cooling off fast in the late afternoon.  So with this in mind…it’s time to fill the trunk with firewood.

Now not just any kind of firewood, but Bill’s firewood in north Phoenix.  Many years ago, after a long discussion of all types of firewood, Bill suggested grapefruit wood with a touch of mesquite.  A nice clean burn with a touch of fragrance!  A loyal customer for years, it’s always a joy to visit his home and business and step back in time.

I so enjoy watching and being mesmerized by the flames of a fire.  To me it rates right up there with waves crashing at the beach.  What mesmerizes you?
