As someone who lives and walks this city daily…my blog is all about delving a little deeper, seeing what it has to offer, and capturing the true essence of New York City. Whether you live in Gotham, or just visiting…feel free to look around my blog. Bet you might find something new to do!
P.S. As of the end of April 2013 my more personal postings will now be at The Next Few Years.

morning from the farm
Off bright and early this morning! Back to MY city. Stay tuned!

the human soul
the significance of the butterfly in greek mythology…

on the farm…Roanoke, VA
Closing in on the new digs! Only a couple of more days of homelessness!
ever seen a groundhog take a dump?

Now you have!
on the farm…Roanoke, Virginia
they don’t make em like they used to…
First of all my mom is going to freak when she sees that I’ve posted a photo of my parents unmade bed! Sorry mom, but it’s so cute to see your rumpled sheets and your 65 year old clock in the same position that I’ve remembered since I was a little one. As my dad says…”they don’t make em like that these days!” They purchased the clock a week after they were married. I’d say it’s a good one!

Meanwhile…I’m still homeless.
a teachable moment
Hang with me buddy and I’ll teach you how to turn around three times before lying down!

who you LOOKin’ at, Willis?

on the farm…Roanoke, Virginia
blue
I guess this is why it’s called the Blue Ridge Mountains…Yep, while homeless I did what any daughter would do…run home to mom and dad! “Mommy…Daddy…I’m back!”

Roanoke, Virginia
summertime cheers
May the chardonnay stay chilled and the lemon drop martinis flow!

Ocean Gate, Jersey Shore
currently homeless…send money

Now if I could just figure out how to add a paypal account to my blog. I do require a nice bordeaux to go with my dog food.
two years?
How can it be? Amazing to think it’s been two years since the Gotham Girl rolled into her city! Wow! How time flies!
So what usually happens this time of year? Yep, time for new digs! And it seems like a good time to move from the den to the lair, don’t cha think? I once heard that when you find out who you are… you’ll find out what you need. So here’s to many years in a new place in the best neighborhood in Manhattan, The Upper West Side!
Even though the primary residence will continue to be in the Arizona desert and I’ll certainly head out to the farm in Virginia every chance I get, it’s nice to dig in just a little deeper in the greatest city on earth!
More to come so check back in on the Gotham Girl!
