- Hey! I'm the one on the left having some fun on a trip to Morocco! Thanks for stopping by! Having retired from the corporate world, my days are now packed with photography, blogging and seeing the world around me. My photography is varied...a reflection of who I am...my love of people...experiencing different lifestyles and cultures...with a little abstract thrown in!

bomboloni
Bomboloni just opened less than a block from the Gotham Den and oh dear…this is very very scary. If you don’t know, bomboloni are Italian doughnuts, popular in Florence. They are more of a doughnut hole than doughnut, filled with vanilla pastry cream, chocolate, raspberry jam, or other fillings. I had the chocolate one. Yummy in my tummy. The Italian bomboloni has been compared to the French beignet like you get in New Orleans. Oh, and perhaps I failed to mention their gelato?
Thank god I signed up for a 100 mile bike ride in May! Train, eat, train. Love it.

Greenflea in the hood (Shot 3/3)
The last of my three favorite shots at the Greenflea. This is a Sunday ritual and I would easily put it in my top ten things that I just love here in the city!

Greenflea in the hood (shot 1/3)

A few shots from my weekly visit to the Greenflea market just up the street on Columbus here in my hood – the Upper West Side. A huge market with indoor and outdoor vendors selling wonderful imports and handmade crafts as well as antiques and books. I understand it was named Greenflea because of the farmers selling fresh produce as well. Now the farmer’s market is across the street as it outgrew their space at the flea. I love spending time here. Lots of eclectic and interesting people. Took about 100 shots and have picked out my favorite three to share. Love these girls!

Union Square
Such a cool sand portrait and perfect for the weather we are having. The artist was such fun to watch! March and all of sudden there are flip flops and sandals instead of boots. March 19th and it’s above 70 degrees! Sweet!

Wandering around today and came across Webster Hall. Funny how different it all looks during the day time!
